How to use EclipseCopilot
EclipseCopilot keeps a single, living record of your home — everything you own, everything you owe, and everything that needs doing — so nothing slips through the cracks. The more you put in, the more it does for you: due-date reminders, warranty and renewal alerts, safety-recall warnings, a running total of what your home is worth, and one search across all of it.
What to track
Bills & reminders
What it is. Every recurring or one-off bill — utilities, rent or mortgage, insurance, credit cards, subscriptions.
Why track it. Never miss a due date or eat a late fee. See everything that's due — and what's overdue — at a glance.
How. Tap Capture and photograph a bill; we read the vendor, amount, and due date for you to confirm — or add one by hand under Bills. Choose how many days ahead you want to be reminded. Bills show up on the Calendar and send notifications; mark them paid when done, and link them to the asset or utility they belong to.
Documents & capture
What it is. Receipts, manuals, policies, warranties, statements — any piece of paper about your home.
Why track it. One searchable place for every document, with the important details pulled out automatically so you don't retype them.
How. Use Capture to snap a photo or upload a PDF. On phones the text is read on your device (private and offline); on the web it's read on our server. The result is searchable and can pre-fill a bill, asset, or warranty. Attach documents to the asset or policy they relate to so everything stays together.
Assets
What it is. The things you own — appliances, electronics, tools, furniture, jewelry, and other valuables.
Why track it. Know exactly what you have and what it's worth — for insurance claims, resale, warranty and recall checks — and see your home's total value add up.
How. Go to Assets and add an item (or snap its receipt to pre-fill). Record the brand, model, serial number, purchase date and price, current value, and the room it's in. Attach the receipt and manual, and link a warranty or insurance policy to it.
Vehicles
What it is. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats — anything with a title and a registration.
Why track it. Stay ahead of registration renewals and service, keep mileage history, and get warned about safety recalls tied to the vehicle.
How. Under Vehicles, add each one with its VIN, license plate, mileage, registration expiry, and fuel type. The VIN lets us look up recalls; the registration date becomes a reminder before it lapses.
Warranties
What it is. Manufacturer and extended warranties on the things you own.
Why track it. Coverage windows are easy to forget. Get warned before one ends so you can make a claim or decide whether to renew — instead of finding out too late.
How. Add a warranty under Warranties (or from an asset), set the coverage end date, and you'll be alerted before it expires. Attach the warranty document so the terms are one tap away.
Insurance
What it is. Your policies — home or renters, auto, and asset-specific riders (jewelry, electronics).
Why track it. Know what's covered, what it costs, and when it renews — so you're never underinsured, never surprised by a premium, and never scrambling during a claim.
How. Under Insurance, add a policy with its provider, premium, deductible, coverage, and renewal date. Link it to your home or to a specific asset so the coverage is attached to the thing it protects.
Utilities
What it is. Your utility accounts — electricity, gas, water and sewer, internet, and phone.
Why track it. Keep account numbers and providers in one place, tie each account's bills together, and spot usage or cost trends over time.
How. Under Utilities, add each account with its provider and account number. As utility bills come in, link them to the account so charges accumulate in one view.
Home services
What it is. Recurring services for the home — lawn care, house cleaning, pest control, HVAC service, gutters, chimney.
Why track it. Keep them on schedule and remember when each was last done, so nothing lapses and you know who to call.
How. Under Home services, add a service with how often it recurs and who provides it. Mark it done when it happens and the next date resets automatically.
Maintenance
What it is. Recurring upkeep for the home and its assets — HVAC filters, smoke-detector batteries, appliance servicing, seasonal tasks.
Why track it. A little preventive maintenance saves expensive repairs and extends the life of what you own. The trick is simply not forgetting.
How. Under Maintenance, add a schedule for the home or a specific asset. Mark a task done to log the history and set the next due date; upcoming tasks appear alongside your reminders.
Projects
What it is. Bigger jobs with steps — a renovation, a room refresh, a move, a multi-part repair.
Why track it. Break a big undertaking into tasks so you can see what's left and actually finish it.
How. Under Projects, create a project and add tasks to it. Check them off as you go to watch progress; keep related documents and receipts linked.
Subscriptions
What it is. Recurring subscriptions — streaming, memberships, software, subscription boxes.
Why track it. See everything you're paying for month to month and year to year — and catch the renewals and forgotten ones that quietly add up.
How. Under Subscriptions, add each one with its cost and renewal date so it's counted in your recurring spend.
Shopping & budget
What it is. Shopping lists for the household, and a simple budget of categories and entries.
Why track it. Keep a shared list everyone can add to, and see where the money actually goes each month.
How. Under Shopping, create lists and check items off. Under Budget, set up categories and log entries to track spending against them.
People & sharing
What it is. The members of your household, and who can see or change what.
Why track it. A home is shared, so its record should be too — with the right level of access for each person.
How. Under Users, invite family or housemates and give each a role (Admin, Editable, or Read-only). Owners manage account-level settings under Settings → Account; everyone else sees them read-only.
Account & security
What it is. Account-wide settings — the owners of the account, and your residency region and consents.
Why track it. A shared account needs one place to see who owns it and how it's governed; each person keeps their own sign-in secure.
How. Open Settings → Account (web and mobile) to promote another owner or step down and review the account's region and consents. Each person turns on their own multi-factor authentication — an authenticator app or a passkey — under Settings → Security.
Activity & history
What it is. A running timeline of everything that changes in your home — what was added, edited, or removed, and when.
Why track it. See what happened and when, and confirm changes across your household at a glance.
How. Open it from Settings → Activity. Search the timeline or narrow it by range (this month, this quarter, year to date, and more); results are paged. History is kept for 2 years, after which the oldest entries are automatically removed.
The big picture
You don’t need to enter everything at once. Start with the bills and the few assets that matter most, and add the rest over time. As your record fills in, EclipseCopilot gets more useful — reminders before things are due, alerts before coverage ends, recall warnings, a home-value total, and a single search across it all.
